◆ 概要
In this seminar, we will explore the interlinkages between climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies, drawing insights from the IPCC Sixth Assessment Report (AR6) cycle.
This analysis will cover the latest scientific findings and policy recommendations, highlighting practical approaches for integrating these strategies to enhance resilience while reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
The discussion will provide an assessment of urban areas' vulnerability to climate change impacts, as well as strategies for adaptation and mitigation.

◆「気候変動影響予測・適応評価の総合的研究（通称 S-18）プロジェクト」の紹介

（研究の背景と目的）
世界的な気候変動の影響の顕在化や我が国における悪影響への対処の必要性を背景にして2018 年に「気候変動適応法」が成立しました．
2025年には次の全国的な影響評価とそれに基づく適応計画の見直しが行われます．
同時に，近年の気象災害の激化などに対応して，自治体や企業でも適応策の立案・実施が必要とされています．
国際的にはパリ協定の実施に向けた科学的貢献も求められており，こうした国内外の課題に応えるため，本プロジェクトでは「我が国の気候変動適応の取り組みを支援する総合的な科学的情報の創出」を目的にして，最新の科学的知見に基づいて影響予測・適応評価に関する研究を行います．
